DESCRIPTION:

Clara is a lovely deer of contrasting qualities. She is gangling and awkward, yet graceful and elegant. A beautiful soft pink rose with leaves adorns her belly, making her a lovely decor piece for a woodland nursery, a forest themed baby shower, or as a soft friend for a treasured little one.

Whether or not you have ever hand sewn before, you will find the instructions included with this pattern easy to follow, with step-by-step guidance and illustrations for all the stitches.

Use the handy shopping list to gather all the readily available supplies you will need to make your woodland deer. A sewing machine is not required.

Print the pattern pieces on regular paper (8.5 x 11" for North America; A4 for everyone else) without the need for any enlarging.

Once you have assembled the materials and mastered the basic stitches, it should take about 4 hours to complete this project.

• Craft felt (or wool felt, if desired)
• Embroidery floss
• Embroidery needle
• Scissors
• Straight pins OR glue stick OR tape
• Printer & copy paper
• Stuffing (fiberfill)
• Stuffing stick, chop stick, or similar
• Ultra fine felt tip pen (optional in some patterns)

This pattern is rated medium difficulty due to the need to stuff small spaces, and a few more challenging techniques than some of my other patterns, however it is still very suitable for beginners. All techniques are fully explained and illustrated.
