Canals are narrow corridors of wildness winding unobtrusively and often unseen through our cities and countryside. These poems celebrate the wildlife, the boats, the people and the occasional mishaps you meet along the way.

The poets whose work you see in this collection mostly live and work on and around the Kennet and Avon canal, but, like the water itself, they do tend to move about and sometimes move on. So this is a rare opportunity to catch them all together!
