"Hot Lips 2" was completed in February 2019. It is a part of a two-part series of color explorations of the icon Rolling Stones "lips" logo.

The painting is on a wood-stretched canvas and measures 12" x 12" x 0.5". I combine Liquitex neon and heavy body paints. The combo makes the colors more dynamic while still adding a layer of depth.

It is hard to overstate the impact The Rolling Stones have had on my life. In high school their "Hot Rocks" cassette was in my car constantly and received plenty of play. After school I got more into their back category and discovered more of their albums. "Exile on Main Street" is one of the greatest rock records of all time in my book. Being a pop artist, the lips designed by John Pasche have always been a style milestone. It was fun doing my own version and tweaking with a gold tooth.
