Maintain a consistent angle: 15–20° for knives, and 25–30° for Axes. Lubricate your whetstone with water or honing oil to prevent overheating and metal buildup. Step-by-Step: Sharpening Damascus Steel Prepare: Clean the blade with warm water and mild soap, then dry it thoroughly to prevent rust. Sharpen: Use a fine-grit whetstone (1000–6000 grit for honing). Hold the blade at a 15–20° angle and slide it across the stone in smooth, controlled motions. Repeat until the desired sharpness is achieved. Finish: Wipe the blade clean with a soft cloth.

How should I care for my knife or blade?

Great knife, very beautiful. The engraving was well done. I got it as a gift for my younger brother and he absolutely loves it, it’s quickly become one of his favorite knives. The handle is bigger than it looks but it’s not much of a problem.

The quality of this knife was terrible, but the seller issued a full refund to make up for the lack of quality in the product and assured me this is not a common thing. Overall I'm pleased with the customer service provided and hope that if I decide to purchase again from this seller the merchandise will be of better quality. For now, happy with the outcome.
