What is the shelf life of your products?

Store your herbs in clean, airtight containers, away from heat and light, and handle them thoughtfully. Amber glass jars with airtight lids are ideal. You might also keep them in a dark cupboard or drawer in the original packaging, sealed tightly while not in use. The shelf life of herbs will vary according to the form and plant part. Those that have been cut or powdered have more surface area exposed to the air and can lose their flavor more rapidly than whole herbs. Sweet and mellow, Korintje cinnamon is the type of cinnamon we all remember from our childhood. It is by far the most common in America, so this is the familiar flavor most people expect when tasting cinnamon, and often less expensive than other types of cinnamon. It’s mellow and considered much sweeter than other varieties. Fragrant Korinjte cinnamon is as strong as Chinese (Cassia) cinnamon, but smoother and not as nippy. It is a good baking cinnamon and for sprinkling on hot cereal, French toast, pancakes and waffles, etc.
