The first time you light your candle, it should be lit for 2-4 hours, This creates a full melt pool which is called a memory burn. This will affect the way your candle burns and smells all the way through to the end. Always trim wicks 1/4 inch before every burn. Keep candle free of any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings. only burn candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Always burn candle within sight and always keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Frosting and / or wetspots on candles

It is possible for some candles to develop a light flaky appearance. This is called "Frosting" and is very common with "Natural Soy Wax" candles. These flaws are normal and a clear indication that you have purchased 100% all natural soy-wax candle. Some candles may develop clear "wet spots" due to cold or hot temperatures during shipping. Soy wax is a living organism and can expand and contract. This will not effect the candle burn or scent throw of your candle. We do not issue refunds for this, as it is a normal trait of natural soy wax candles.

Candles are shipped USPS 1-3 day Priority Mail. Candles that are marked free shipping are normally USPS Ground. Candles are heavy and expensive to ship.. we try to keep the cost down as much as we can.

What ingredients do we use?

All of our candles are made as natural as possible. I went into the candle business specifically because I am a candle connoisseur and wanted a clean and toxic free burning candle that smelled amazing! I was tired of wasting my money buying and burning toxic candles. That is how Urban Melts Candle Co was born. We use 100% natural soy wax, soy-beans grown by American farmers in the USA. We use Lead-free Cotton wicks. I do not add any additives or chemicals to my wax to make them "throw" a stronger scent. We use Premium grade fragrance oils and essential oils, that are body safe. No additives, dyes, preservatives, phthalates, or petroleum.

Soy wax, made from American-grown soybeans is eco-friendly, soap and water clean up, non-toxic and petroleum free. It has no additives, preservatives or dye. Its burns cleaner, healthier and 50% longer than traditional petroleum based parrafin candles. Its sustainable and supports American farmers.
