Prices viewed from everywhere else are country specific. The shape of this mug was inspired by archaeology from the island of Gotland, Sweden, made about 1000 years ago - the middle of the Viking age. The handle replicates those often found on traditional northern Scandinavian cups known as guksi (Saami), kuksa (Finland), or kåsa (Sweden). The handle's 'tail' makes it extremely comfortable & stable to hold.

• • • Personalisation • • •
The side of this mug can be personalised with up to 50 characters. To calculate the number of characters that you'd like, count up the number of letters, numbers & punctuation - but not the spaces. One symbol is equivalent to 10 characters. The characters are impressed into the clay before it is fired, so they are definitely permanent. Some simple shapes and symbols are available (see 'Symbol Choices' image), as well as diacritic marks (e.g. accents) or modified roman alphabet letters (as in Swedish, Norwegian, etc.).

Please write your personalisation in the box after you have chosen your colour.

Each and every piece is made in my little home studio in Brisbane, Australia, by my hands either on the pottery wheel or by sculpting. The piece is made from a strong stoneware clay which is fired twice - first to 1000°C (1832°F) to make the clay ready for the glaze, then to 1300°C (2370°F) to melt the glaze and make it as strong as possible.

I use rainwater and solar power, and I recycle everything I can to reduce my footprint on the earth. All the packaging materials I use are biodegradable, and, where possible, I use carbon neutral shipping options. Nothing is more important to me than making sure I do everything I can to protect our precious planet.
