We have "Macon, Georgia, Fort Hawkins, replica Cinderella Label 1929". Boasting, the only Southeatern City tracing it's origin to an old Indian Fort and Trading Post. Fort Hawkins, a stockade and military equipment post established in 1906. A excellent condition label/stamp, still with gum, measuring: 1 1/4" wide x 2" long.
The stamp shows Col. Hawkins on left with Representative Indian Chief of Creeks, Cherokee, Choctaws, Chickasaws on right. In the middle of stamp Fort Hawkins. The stamp is Blue and Beige (maybe originally White). Under Col Hawkins is a small blurb: Col. Benjamin Hawkins, U. S. Agent Indian Affairs south of Ohio River 1796-1816. Beloved Man of the Four Nations. Along bottom of label/stamp is "Fort Hawkins Replica 1929".
