Creating a fabulous French parquet floor just got a whole lot easier! Our new French parquet floor kits are just the ticket to turn an ordinary floor into one with pizzazz. This particular parquet floor style is called Bordeaux and it comes in 39 ready cut pieces for you to glue together onto a template to create a beautiful parquet floor. It comes with an easy to follow template.....plus some pieces come numbered so there no mistakes waiting to happen. Your dollhouse will love you.....and so will your pocketbook!
Price is for one kit to make one parquet floor square....and are priced by quantity. So the more you purchase, the more attractive the price. Each parquet floor square is approximately 9 square inches....or 3" x 3" square. You'll need to measure your room's length times its width to determine the total square inches. Take that figure, divide by 9, and you will have the total for the approximate amount of kits you'll need to cover your floor area.
The best way to start would be to draw a template of your room and pencil in the squares to see how the room is best laid out...a parquet floor looks best when there is an equal and symmetrical layout of squares (refer to the last photograph for an ideal room layout). So the number of kits you'll need will depend upon the architectural footprint of the room and whether you plan on laying the parquet squares at a diagonal or square to the room. Again, see the last photograph for an example for a diagonal layout.
