Soul Like Thunder is 6 x 9 inches and 191 pages while Hummingbird (a pretty little chapbook) is 5.2 x 7.8 inches and 71 pages. It is a deeply personal story of trauma, survival, and healing in the #MeToo era.

The books were shipped quickly and came lovingly wrapped with a black ribbon. I've never been a huge poetry reader but decided to take the plunge with Sophia--and I already know I'm going to love each book! I finished HUMMINGBIRD today and the raw emotions in the words were oh so potent. And of course, having a signed set just adds that special extra touch :) Would recommend!

I'm admittedly not the biggest fan of poetry when it comes to literature, but that being said I absolutely adored these. The physical quality of the books themselves is lovely, I love that matte feeling texture on books and these have exactly that with the added bonus of being hand-signed and cutely packaged. Sophia's writing touched me very deeply and I found myself on the verge of tears while reading her words and sharing her experiences through the page. 5/5 stars, these are now a part of my favorite reads of all time. I'm excited to read her trilogy next!
