Custom Leather Cushions: Distressed Tan Leather, Quote Needed

Please Don't purchase this listing. Cushion projects need to be quoted individually depending on size, leather, and other options. This is to give you an idea. These cushions were made in a distressed tan leather hide from Carroll Leather. You can view other hides at www.casperleather.com. Things to know in advance about leather: the construction of leather is going to be about double that of other materials for a few reasons: 1) it requires not just an industrial sewing machine, but one that works with leather, the standard industrial machine will not handle working with leather upholstery; and 2) leather is unforgiving, therefore it must be worked with slowly and methodically. Once it is pierced it cannot be undone, the hole shows forever therefore it takes precision and exacting and 3) leather itself is expensive but also since it does not come by the yard but is on a hide, the sizing is odd and therefore there is much more waste, especially with larger projects like cushions. I charge by the square foot, so my customers are not charged for leather that is wasted, you are not charge by the hide you use. I use overages for other small projects so that you are not charge for that. Please keep these things in mind when asking for an estimate.

For an estimate, please send me the following:

A) exact cushion measurements including width, length and thickness of each cushion and number of each cushion (if cushions are not rectangular please provide a photo)

B) if you require covers only, or cushion inserts as well.

C) Leather you would like. Please choose a leather from: www.casperhill.com. I will take care of the purchasing but need you to select and decide which leather you like. If you need samples, please let me know and I can have those sent to you. Please note all leathers here are upholstery leathers and appropriate for cushions, couches, etc.
Depending on the size of your cushion or cushions your leather piece may need to be seamed together. Decorative seams are very common as you cannot always get large pieces of leather of the same hide. If this is the case I will make you aware of it and give you options.
** PLEASE NOTE: It is very difficult to estimate cost realistically without knowing your fabric selection. If you have yet to select a fabric, please wait until that time to ask for an estimate, as I do take the time to go through each estimate one by one to give a detailed response to each customer. If you plan to supply your own fabric, I cannot estimate how much fabric you will need for your project without knowing what fabric you will be using.

NOTE: Because our cowhides are premium full grain leather, natural markings such as finished scratches and bites may be present. Typically, these markings are very subtle and are considered by most as the "signature" of fine leather.
Also note that different dye lots of the same leather will vary from hide-to-hide. If you intend to order a set, it is best to order all at the same time to ensure they are from the same dye lot as I cannot ensure the color will be a perfect match otherwise. Samples are available, which can be ordered ahead of time, but if you want a CFA, please specify after purchase.
