The totally amazing 2019 super bloom of Anza-Borrego California. No blooms were trampled on during the painting of this picture. I adored painting the super bloom flowers - a real California phenomenon!

This 8 x 10 inch original oil painting was completed on cradled 7/8" birch wood panel. It can be framed, or displayed without a frame as the cradles birch sides make a wonderful presentation.

The painting will arrive with hardware installed so it can be hung completely square and flush with the wall.

I have included many pictures under different light and ISO stops to give you the best images possible - the images for this particular work vary with the warmth/coolness of available light, so please look at all the pictures.

Painting the super bloom gave me the opportunity to delve into the use of the deep jewel tone colors offered by a full spectrum of oil paints - creating depth by using lots of vibrant color - my favorite way to paint!
