Bee Print - Yellow, Orange or Natural - Handmade Lotka Nepal Wrapping Paper - Gift Wrap - 3 sheets

Seller's description

3 Sheets handmade Lotka paper with a black bee design. This great handmade paper is ideal for adding an elegant touch to your holiday cards, wrapping that special gift or even decorating your home. Each sheet measures 20" x 30" and has a natural deckle edge.

We ship this paper rolled into a tube. We do combine shipping, so multiple orders can roll together into one larger package..

The black print bee on natural is the only one that contains live seeds.

The natural color contains our blend of wildflower seeds - Snapdragon, Petunia, Beardtongue, Daisy, Thyme, Catchfly, Maiden Pinks, & Chamomile. This blend is specifically for safe propagation across North America.

Lotka is made in the highlands of Nepal by rural craftspeople. The Daphne bush is farmed and harvested from 3-4 year old plants that are cut down and stripped of their bark to become the raw material from which the sheets are formed. The plant is not destroyed when cut down, it regenerates from the root. The cane like stick, once it's bark is removed is dried and used to heat the villager's homes and to provide cooking fuel for meals and also for the production of the paper. All of the water used in the paper production is reclaimed and reused. The bark is beaten by hand and boiled to break it down to a pulp (where it is mixed in with recycled pulp and paper scrap collected from the card and envelope manufacturing process) that is then pored into screens to form the sheets. These sheets are then dried in the sun. The whole process is not only earth friendly but also provides a large community with a healthy enterprise. All of our lotka paper is at least 50% recycled fiber content.

This is charming gift paper, original, unique and well designed. It really looks hand-made. The bees are rather large. My husband keeps bees as a hobby, and he loved that I wrapped his birthday gifts in this paper.

I love this bumblebee paper and use it as often as I can! I cut each sheet into many pieces and use them as my thank you notes to my jewelry customers. I am always getting questions about it and point them your way :) Thank you!
