Ammonite Fossil Cufflinks .....Please read on for important info!.....
• Ammonite halves average ~2cm at their widest
• Matched, mirror-polished pair.
• Color choice: Choose mid-brown tones, dark tones, light cream+beige tones, honey tones and NEW: "Multicolor Mix", where stones are hard to define as one dominant color; they have a mix of yellows, greys, browns and even sometimes druzy vugs!
• Stone origin: Madagascar. Stones hand-picked in person at the Tucson and Quartzsite Gem Shows
• Handmade by us in our Detroit Michigan studio! Please allow for slight variations in color, shape and size of the stones. Each fossil is unique!
• NEW! The hardware is countersink drilled-in to the stone. Each stone is then extra-securely attached to its hardware with aircraft grade bonding/jeweler's cement. The reverse attachment point is then lightly coated in clear resin to act as a "bumper" to help prevent damage while wearing or if dropped.
• Hand-selected, extra quality stones
• Easy-to-use, silver-tone bullet-back hardware.
• Snazzy gift box included.

►ABOUT THE STONE:
Ammonites were predatory mollusks that resembled a squid with a shell. These cephalopods had eyes, tentacles, and spiral shells. They are more closely related to a living octopus, though the shells resemble that of a nautilus. Ammonites appeared in the fossil record about 240 million years ago.
►ABOUT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP:
NEW! I use traditional, time-honored lapidary techniques to drill into the stones in order to sink the cufflink hardware deep into the stone's surface, so your cufflinks will not come apart. This time-consuming process is done in addition to the adhesive and resin layers that attach the stones to the metal cufflink hardware. Most crafters skip this most important drilling (and resin) step.

►ABOUT THE MAKER:
Each pair of cufflinks is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist and Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between my home base in Detroit, MI and a mobile RV studio Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell and fossil there and at the Tucson and Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers.
