Heat from ovens or flames can reduce lifespan, and high heat producing resins may also shorten use, while abrasive materials such as concrete can erode fine detail over time. The silicone can be used at temperatures from -65°F to 400°F (-19°C to 205°C), and the clear option may eventually cloud with extended heat exposure while still leaving casts shiny.
