Do you like to craft, but feel a bit guilty about the fact that your yarn is made from virgin materials? Making something from scratch can cause a lot of harm to the environment, so finding a good alternative can help reduce the amount of waste that we produce annually.
This yarn is one of the ways in which I am trying to help.
This yarn is 100% reclaimed from lightly-used sweaters and clothing that I was able to salvage. I am hoping that by using secondhand clothing, I can reduce the large amount of clothing that is tossed in the trash and shipped to developing countries, where it is often burned.
Using reclaimed yarn is also a great way to have more eco-friendly crafts, regardless of the composition of the yarn itself. Using recycled and reclaimed products can also provide a more creative touch to many projects, as many of these yarns are only used by factories, and not sold to the general public.
