When I started working with leather 12 years ago, one of the very first things I did was to add custom, hand-branded, inscriptions to my pieces. I was the only one doing it at the time and the method I use, writing every inscription entirely by hand, gives my work a rustic, handmade, soulful, and very special look. The inscription on this bible or book cover can be anything you can imagine - song lyrics, wedding vows, a letter, or scripture. What will yours say?

This piece is a bible case with an inscription in the handwriting you provide on the flap. It can be a piece you write, or a special letter from a loved one. The case comes in four different sizes to hold your bible and can have an additional inscription below the flap. It has a buckle closure and a handle at the top.

To make this piece I start with a vegetable tanned tooling leather leather then cut, brand and dye it by hand before applying a protective coat to keep it safe from the elements. The antique brown dye will vary from piece to piece because leather is a natural material so some may be darker or lighter than the image shown.

SIZES: This case comes in four sizes. The sizes listed represent the over-all dimensions of the case so you will need to choose the one that has slightly larger dimensions than your bible.

Small: 5" x 8" x 1"
Medium: 6" x 9" x 1"
Large: 7" x 9" x 2"
XL: 8" x 11" x 2"
XL Deep: 8" x 11" x 4"

TO CUSTOMIZE THIS PIECE: Purchase the existing listing in the size you would like and then send me a convo with an image of the writing to be placed on the flap. The space for the writing is a rectangle 2" less than the length and 2" less than the width in size (so, for the small it would be 3" by 6" in size), up to 250 characters for the small and medium, 400 characters for the large and XL. The best transfers are from writing written using a medium point felt-tip pen such as a Sharpie. I can copy other inscriptions provided the writing is not too small. If you have questions about the writing you want transferred please ask!

COLOR: This bible cover is antique brown which is a warm, true, brown. Each piece is hand dyed, so some variation is to be expected.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? I do my best to keep my current turn-around time listed in the main page of my shop. If you need something sooner, please send me a convo with the item(s), shipping location, and date needed and I will let you know if it is possible.
