A downloadable crochet pattern to make your own amigurumi narwhal.

This quick and easy project only takes about an hour to make, and is great for using up leftover yarn in your stash.

The pdf file includes a written crochet narwhal pattern (US crochet terms), crochet charts, step-by-step photos, detailed assembly instructions, and a template for the felt pieces. A printer-friendly version with fewer photos is included.

You'll also get a copy of our beginner's crochet guide, which teaches you some basic techniques used to make amigurumi. The guide has left-hand and right-hand versions.

DIFFICULTY:
This is an easy amigurumi pattern that uses mostly single crochet stitches in the round. The required techniques are taught in the included beginner's guide.

SIZE:
Using medium (worsted) weight yarn and a 3.5mm (E) crochet hook, your narwhal will be about 7 cm (2.8 in) long and 4 cm (1.6 in) wide. However, exact gauge is not important for this project, and you can adjust the size by using thicker or thinner yarn.

MATERIALS NEEDED (not included with purchase):
• medium (worsted) weight yarn in body colour (about 20 m / 22 yds)
• 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook
• white craft felt
• toy stuffing
• yarn needle
• sewing needle
• sewing thread - black, white & a colour
• 6 mm black beads for eyes
