Star Wars Boba Fett Super Trooper / Pre-Production (Mandalorian) Inspired Replica Costume Armor Kit / Prop (by Imperial Outpost Armory)

This is a Star Wars inspired replica "Super Trooper" or "Pre-Production" version Boba Fett costume / armor kit. (Helmet and Backpack NOT included)

The first 4 photos show what you will be receiving. Photo number 5 shows what the kit can look like once it is finished. Photos 6, 7, 8, and 9 show the design of the reinforced knee pieces that are used in all of Will's kits. I will go into more detail below. The final photo shows the tribute trading card that you will receive.

These kits are not typically in stock, due to limited storage space but there will be a reasonable production period, as they are hand made. The goal is to be able to produce one within a 2 to 6 week period but if you have a deadline, we are willing to discuss that and see if we can work with you.

This is a kit and the armor pieces will need to be finish trimmed, assembled, and painted. The parts come cut on or near the trim lines but the edges are not finished which means you will have to finish the edges.

This kit was designed by Will Friedrichs who sadly passed away in 2017. His username in the costuming communities was "Red Krayt Dragon" (RKD) and his business was "Imperial Outpost Armory" (IOA). He was one of the top makers of Fett / Mandalorian armor kits. Will asked us to carry on his legacy. You will receive a memorial trading card that pays tribute to his name.

This item is made using .09" thick white ABS plastic which is more durable than kits made with thinner or lesser quality material. It is a very durable material and works great for costuming / display.

Because the knees on Fett / Mandalorian costumes are known to break, Will wanted to add extra durability so he designed an inner layer that is also formed with the same ABS plastic. There is also an extra ABS plate that gets glued in between the layers as well as a cast piece of foam that goes inside the knee to help support the "knee dart launcher greeblies". Once all of that is glued together, the knee pieces are very durable.

Again, this is a kit and it will need to be finish trimmed, assembled, and painted. The parts come cut on or near the trim lines but the edges are not finished. This kit only includes what you see in the first four photos. You will still need to locate a helmet, backpack, boots and all of the soft goods. We can offer advice on where to look for those items. We do offer greeblie kits that have both resin and metal options. Please look through our store here to find those items. If the greeblie listings aren't up, we might be re-stocking.

Will did design some of the pieces to have two sizing options. The kit in this listing is the standard, true to the size of the original kit, option. He also created the following, optional pieces:

* Chest plate set - slightly smaller
* Collar plate - slightly smaller
* Back plate - slightly smaller
* Cod piece - slightly smaller
* Shoulder bells - slightly larger

Will sculpted the armor to be the same size as what was used in the films and Jeremy (the actor) was about 6' tall and 175 lbs in the 80's so the standard size will fit someone close to that size pretty well.

In his efforts over the years to make his pieces as accurate as possible Will ended up with some transition tooling (vacuum forming bucks) that are a little smaller so he saved those as an option for people with a slightly smaller build. So if we were to guess we would say the smaller pieces might be more for someone who is maybe 5'9 and smaller and maybe 160 lbs or less.

Unfortunately Will didn't seem to have any information that really dialed that in to decide which size brackets they might fit best.
