One of our favorite trips on our most recent travels in Oaxaca was to the village of San Pedro Cajonos! Situated high in the mountain Sierras three hours from Oaxaca City, this is one of the most idyllic settings that one may ever find! Perched at the top of the mountains, with sweeping views of the surrounding canyons and distant pueblos, San Pedro Cajonos kisses the clouds and shines in its art forms. One of the most famous of San Pedro Cajonos artists, is the Blas Family of wood carvers. Their style is so unique and can be identified readily upon sight. Bright colors, and fine painting are their hallmarks.

The Blas Family line of frogs have quickly become one of our hottest items! And this leapfrog is one of the coolest additions. It is from David Blas' son David Adrian. A great piece that carries on the tradition of his father. This one is full of a great sense of movement, as it appears to be leaping with its arched back and long curved legs! Grab it while you can! There are no removable parts, and the piece is signed by the artist.
