Cats love mice. It's true. They love to chase them, catch them, toss them, and, ummmm.... Mice are cute as buttons, but they make a terrible mess and they are a health hazard. You just can't have mice in your house. Poor Kitty - no mousies for you! 😿

I have a solution for everyone. Knitted mice are sooooo much nicer than real ones, and Kitty will love its squishy wooly goodness! Cats seem to really love the smell of real wool. In fact, as you can see from the pictures, Ricky (short for Turmeric) is not so sure about letting these go. Don't worry, he has plenty. 😺

Each mouse is hand knitted from various yarns I have from other projects: cotton, wool, acrylics, or some of my handspun yarn. Some mice are "natural", some are very colorful. Some have matching tails, some are very different. All of them are stuffed with yummy naturally colored wool that I pick to blend with the mouse body color. You can look through the pictures to see the current batch, although I add to the stock just about daily (these are super fun to knit!).

I've also learned that babies love these! There are no eyes or parts to fall off, so these should be small baby appropriate. This would be great fun for a baby shower or small gift for a little one. Request custom colors, or high contrast black white and red! For babies, I will stuff mousies with polyfil so that it can be washed, which I highly recommend - just let me know in the notes or a convo that the mousies are for a baby. Of course, just like with your fur babies, keep a good eye on the condition of the mousie. It should be fine, and has been for some friends of mine whose babies love to cuddle and chew them, but like anything, make sure that Baby can't get hurt and check the toy frequently. I advise checking on Mousie's condition regularly for the kitties, so I would definitely recommend that for Baby. So far, the mousies have held up to plenty of abuse, but it doesn't hurt to just make sure. 😺

You can choose 1 mouse or a pack of 3 at a discount. You can also choose naturals (grey mousies), neutral (greys, browns, creams, blacks, possibly tweeds or combos but all in neutral colors), colorfuls (bright colors and combinations), or a random pick. If Kitty sees a mouse in one of the pictures that Kitty must have, or if Kitty has special requests for colors or other options, send me a message. I have tons of yarn, and I spin yarn in addition to knitting and such, so we should be able to make everyone happy. 😺 I am also happy to add a little catnip sachet if you want - just let me know in the Personalization option. Each catnip sachet is filled with catnip grown here on the farm or purchased if we exhaust the catnip stores here - but it's always organic! The catnip is securely embedded in the mouse in a small sachet so that you don't have little catnip sprinkles to chase around with the vacuum cleaner. I add these at request because not all cats love "the nip", and also because I can send you a super fresh catnip mouse instead of it sitting around losing scent. It will lose scent before the mouse wears out, but hey. Nothing is forever. And you can always spray it with some catnip spray.

Each mouse measures about 7" from nose to end of body, plus about a 10" tail (mice are all approximately this size but each one is a little different). So overall, stretched all the way out, about 17" of mousie delight. See pictures for a shot of a couple of them with a ruler - like I said, they do vary a bit, but they are all about this size. Our cats give these a good workout,but so far they have been pretty cat proof. So, unless you have a particularly killer cat, they should last a good while. I should note again that if you see that the mouse is starting to come apart, stuffing is falling out, the yarn tail has become irretrievably frayed, or whatever, you should retire Mousie, since fibers and such can make Kitty sick, and no one wants that. This is part of the reason that I don't add eyes or a nose or such - those can get pulled off or wear out quickly, and Kitty doesn't care anyway. 😸
