Love the vintage look of the original Macintosh but can't get yourself to go back to 128kb of RAM and saving to floppy disks? Well here is your solution: a vintage Apple Macintosh retrofitted with an iPad mini as the screen. It's a touchscreen Macintosh!

These Macintosh iPad's are made by me. I begin by gutting the entire Macintosh and cleaning up the case and removing any yellowing. I then install a custom laser cut bezel allowing you to securely mount your iPad mini 6. The black laser cut bezel is 1/8" thin to ensure it doesn't get in the way of swiping or use with the iPad.

I keep the metal frame inside so the Macintosh still feels sturdy and has a nice weight to it. I'm also able to keep most of the ports on the front and back so it looks nice but they are, of course, unusable.

An iPad mini 6 is not included. However, installation is pretty simple to do yourself. Here is an instructional video showing how to install the iPad: https://youtu.be/r2vQ8MapHaM. You will need a long Torx 25 screwdriver. If you'd like me to buy and install a new iPad mini for you, message me and I'll create a custom order.

For charging, there is room in the Macintosh to leave your iPad plugged in and then run the charging cord out of the back of the Macintosh through one of the existing port holes.

Since the iPad mini 6 doesn't have a front button, the "tap to wake" feature is used to "wake up" the iPad. To lock the iPad you simply have to wait for it to time out and lock itself.

Please note that I use genuine Apple Macintosh computers. Because of this, there will be minor differences and imperfections in each case but I do my best to find a donor Mac in good condition. I also do not guarantee a certain model Macintosh will be used because it is based on availability at the time your order. I do always use Macs that are part of the compact family. Models I may use include: 128k, 512k, Plus, 512Ke, SE, SE/30, SE FDHD, or others.

A keyboard and mouse are not included.

It's real! It exists! It's so cool. It's an iPad stuffed into the shell of a Macintosh Plus. Trav knows what he's doing! iPadOS supports bluetooth mice, keyboards, trackpads, too, so it's pretty easy to use this as a real computer. Now I just need to load a 68k Mac emulator on the iPad so I can run some old school mac games.
