Framilon® transparent elastic tape 8 mm
Available in two widths 5 mm and 8 mm. This listing is for 8 mm wide tape.
Framilon® is made from 100% polyurethane. Framilon® is used on swimwear, underwear and jersey clothes. It is also suitable for persons who are allergic to rubber.
Framilon® has more elasticity than most other elastic tapes. It is capable of stretching up to 400% of its length and will still recover its original length. Framilon® withstands both alkaline and acid substances, such as oil, sweat, cosmetics, chlorine and sea water. It also withstands sunlight and can even be exposed to subzero conditions of up to -36ºC. While Framilon® might turn yellowish over the years, it will not lose its elasticity or flexibility.
Framilon® is thin, flexible and elastic and it is easy to sew. You can stitch over it with a regular sewing machine or a serger without worrying about it tearing.
Washing and care:
- Machine-wash at less than 60°C or dry-clean.
- Iron at a temperature of less than 80°C. Note! Do not iron directly on Framilon® tape – it will lose its elasticity at too high a temperature!
Use:
- On swimwear: for finishing the armholes, neckline and leg openings.
- On jersery clothes (T-shirts, children’s clothes etc.): for stabilizing the shoulder seam allowances, for gathering, and for finishing the neckline.
