When the sun burns down from the sky, a chic head protection is indispensable for the little ones. The «Fjord» peaked cap not only protects the head, but also shades the eyes. Thanks to the elastic at the back, the hat can grow with your child and will last the whole summer. There are two variants (long and short) for the elastic to sew in. And if you still have an old pair of pants lying around, this is a perfect upcycling project.
The e-book contains detailed, illustrated instructions for both rubber variants on 29 pages. Two videos are also available on YouTube.
Material recommendation: A sturdy cotton fabric such as jeans (without elastane), twill, canvas or a thin corduroy, as well as sturdy linen fabrics make a robust hat for autumn or spring. A simple, thin cotton fabric is also sufficient for a light summer variant. A simple cotton fabric is best for lining. If you want to sew the hat as an upcycling project, you can use any non-elastic pants made of cotton chinos or jeans, for example. An old cotton blouse can also serve as a lining.
