This listing is for Cuban Oregano Cuttings (Coleus amboinicus) cuttings, either taken fresh (no roots) or pre-rooted for you. Each cutting will be 6-10" long. Cuban Oregano cuttings will be freshly harvested at the time of your purchase. Fresh and Rooted cuttings will have nearly all leaves removed to reduce moisture loss.

Also known as Indian borage, Spanish thyme, and Mexican mint, this hardy succulent-like herb is easy to grow and highly forgiving. Cuban oregano is commonly used in meat dishes & can be used fresh or dried for storage. The velvety texture and thick leaves also make this plant a great zero-waste toilet paper substitute.

Cuban oregano is a willing grower and is therefore easy to propagate. To root your cuttings, make a narrow hole in some well-draining soil using a stick or pencil. Insert a Cuban oregano cutting directly into the hole. If you are trying to fill a larger space, lay your cuttings horizontally and loosely toss soil on top. Any portion of the stem that touches soil will begin root development within days.

Cuban oregano is a perennial in warm climates, but will die in temperatures 40 or below. You can still grow your Cuban Oregano plants in the ground if you wish, but be sure to take cuttings to pot up indoors during the winter months. Cuban oregano will also do just fine in a pot indoors or on a patio, etc.
