What is the difference between filled vs. plated jewelry?

14k Gold filled, 14k Rose gold filled, and Sterling silver materials contain 100x more real gold or silver components compared to plated jewelry and is a more durable option for everyday wear. Comparable to 14k Gold plated, 14k Rose gold plated, and Silver plated jewelry has very little gold or silver components but with the jewelry polishing cloth provided with each piece you can easily polish back the jewelry to full shine.
