Lovely 1940's tilt hat calot made of chocolate brown felt with a profusion of looped felt forming flowers and petals - Women's 1940's Hat Fashions.

Our favorite little hat from our favorite decade! The 1940's little caps are often referred to as a calot (French word for small cap). To see the intricate and gorgeous details of the felt flowers, look at the close-up photo 4. Beautifully made hat by the vintage designer, Jean Allen: you can see her designer label in the last photo. The hat measures 19 inches around the interior hat band, styled to fit most sizes, and to tilt to either side with the aid of an elastic band (as seen in the interior photo 10. The hat measures 10 inches from end to end and 6 inches from side to side not including the looped trim.

The condition is very good and wearable! I don't see any blemishes to list! I have steam cleaned the little tilt hat, and it's ready to wear. Fun and versatile hat!
