This is an 8" x 10" print of my multimedia collage entitled "Sky Carriers".

***The woman's skirt in made up of many sunflowers. Mother and daughter hold up baskets filled with a beautiful sky.

This collage is the first piece I created in the Basket Women series. It was inspired by the absolute beauty, strength, tenacity and power of the Haitian women of the market.

The basket women go up and down Haiti's hills with their livelihood balanced graciously, gracefully on their heads. My grandmother was one these women.

This print will be shipped in a protective mailer.
