The LHD Freeform Crochet Monarch Butterfly Appliqué took several love-infused weeks to make and develop and now you, too, can make this organic freeform creation from my step-by-step pattern and accompanying videos.

This gorgeous design can be applied to a jacket, purse or - by adding a body and antennas - can be framed. Perfect for vegan art lovers!

It is slightly challenging and definitely fun, which is why I created four step-by-step videos to show you each moment along the path to creating each wing. I developed some new terms to explain some of the things I do. The end result is so worth it, and the videos are very thorough.

The first video is free (link below), the other three are behind a password protected area of my website.

Please note: You can create all four wings by watching only the free video for the Upper Left Wing. It covers all my abbreviations. But in order to see the other 3 videos you'll need a membership to my website to access the password-protected page. This process is automatic on my website (LydiaHawk.com) but it's not possible to automate that process here at Etsy. I haven't made this yet, however I just watched the 1st video tutorial, and this is absolutely doable with the video explaining the instructions. Without the video(s), this would be quite challenging to understand, as there are no photos with the instructions that I could see on 1st glance. Very beautiful wings pattern, look forward to applying it to my project. Freeform patterns are so hard to explain properly without either clear step by step photos, or in this case, a video going step by step. Watch the video first! And then begin:)
