PLATFORM BED No.4 IN WHITE OAK by WILBUR DAVIS STUDIOS
Our Platform Bed No. 4 is the perfect complement any bedroom with some warm modern style.
This bed combines our solid joinery and simple bolt together construction with an elegant rounded edge which wraps around the frame. We're using a digital dovetail-half lap joints at each corner. These are locked in place as the legs are connected, making for simple assembly. The cylindrical legs give the bed an especially lightweight, minimalist look. We can also make it with tapered legs for an even lighter look (see 5th image). Make a note when placing your order if you prefer tapered legs.
We build these beds with robust poplar slats that nest into pocketed solid wood rails. Beds larger than Twin have a hardwood midbeam and center leg. This bed is designed for use without a foundation or box spring.

DIMENSIONS
We make this to order in standard bed sizes. Use the drop down list to make your selection.
The platform shown is 7 inches from the ground. We offer this bed in the height of your choosing from 5"-14". Select your preference from the drop down list, and we'll build it to your needs.
The bed frame extends 1 inch around outside the dimension of the mattress along the rails and footboard. Slats are spaced under 2 inches apart to provide a supportive foundation for your mattress.

This beautifully made bed frame was carefully packaged (I accidentally bashed the end of one of the long cartons with a stair step and gasped but the ends were VERY well cushioned) and the main pieces are ingeniously packed surrounded by the slats. If you buy a bed with shorter legs, it may be easier to assemble right side up, as the legs are very easy to screw in. Flipping it would be harder (as one person) because it's heavy and large and I was trying to make sure the finish would not get scratched while assembling. This is a gorgeous bed that I will enjoy for many years.
These beds are just perfect. The quality is incredible, and the assembly is flawless. We even had our 1.5 year old help us (kidding but kind of not!). Both equally important in terms of using and moving them with us from room to room and house to house... these are lifelong beds.
This is the second bedframe we have purchased from this company and we are exceedingly pleased!
This bed is absolutely gorgeous. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the quality and look of the wood is unmatched with anything you can buy from big box stores. The side rails are very solid and heavy and even the slats are really nice wood that is solid and smooth. It’s very easy to put together each detail is finished with so much care. It’s incredibly comfortable to sleep on and very supportive for our foam mattress. The lead time for this piece was very reasonable and an investment worth while. We know we will have this piece for years and years to come! Kelly and Matthew have been really responsive throughout the process and their professionalism and customer service is great. From sending samples and answering questions they were wonderful to do business with.
