The long, thin, blush colored freshwater pearl bead goes with the red and blue dyed cultured pearls for a remarkably striking look.

You won't find this color combination just anywhere!

The units of red and blue pearls are flanked by gold vermeil (24kt gold over sterling silver) faceted cubes,

while the freshwater pearls are flanked by conical , origami like (24kt gold over sterling silver) beads.

All elements are hand knotted in place with exquisite craftsmanship.

The length of the necklace (43") allows for multiple ways to wear it, such as doubling the strand. The necklace is signed Atara.

When I was a little girl reading the book “treasure Island”, I became obsessed
with the cover picture of a treasure chest filled with jewels and dripping of pearls.
I asked my mom, if I can have ever have a chest like that.
She answered very decisively NO.

As life will have it, I have many chests filled with jewels and little treasures and of course lots of pearls.
This is what dreamt about, what I studied and this is how I’ve earned a blessed living,
while travelling around the world and working with fabulous museum gift shops and catalogs.

And talking about pearls, I never met a pearl I didn’t like. I am constantly amazed by the abundance of shapes and colors, natural and dyed alike.
For me pearls and beads, combined with reasonable precious metals, or even not precious, is the way to make my jewelry affordable to as many of you as possible.
We should all be able to adorn ourselves and celebrate.

My styles are varied and reflect the different cultures and periods I work with, to compliment the museum collections featured in their gift shops.
