8" Bamboo Punch Needle Hoop with Pre-Stretched Monk's Cloth

This listing is for ONE Bamboo Hoop with pre-stretched, glued-in Monk's cloth. Monk's cloth is one of the preferred backing fabrics for punch needle work.
**Please note: this is not a re-usable product. It is meant to be hung up as a finished art project once you are done creating your masterpiece!

Monk's cloth is a cotton fabric which has 24 - 26 threads per inch. These warp and weft fibres move slightly as you work to make punching easy but also to tighten around loops/stitches and hold them in place in your finished work. Because of this, there is no need to glue or fix the loops in place when finished. The fabric has white grid lines that can help in placing or drawing designs but do not interfere with your yarn flowing freely.

I have pre-stretched and glued monk's cloth into an 8" (20 cm) bamboo hoop. The fabric stays taut while punching and your piece is ready to hang once it's completed!

I recommend leaving a 1/2" (1.25 cm) un-punched border around your design so your punch needle moves freely without hitting the bamboo hoop. The 8" size gives you 7" (17.5 cm) punchable area for your work.
