This antique nightshirt is beautifully made from finest, smooth linen in an off-white color. I suspect that it is European made & probably late Edwardian, as it has pockets on the front. It has a square neck with an offset decorative slit. The long sleeves are plain with slightly gathered shoulders & slit cuffs. There are 2 pleats sewn at each shoulder. There are 2 front patch pockets. There are 2 seams sewn at the hips. This slips over the head & falls to above the ankles. This is very displayable and wearable. Please see the photos & note the storage stains: Some light brown staining all around the left armpit & left cuff, 3 tiny dark spots on the right lower side seam, a large & very faint liquid stain on the front, 2 tiny dark spots on the hem in front, a very faint wide liquid stain on the back, 2 small dark spots on the back & 2 tiny spots on the left sleeve.
