This feather hair clip is inspired by the very grand English Manor House, Cliveden House. I am fortunate enough to live ten minutes away from this glorious location, and visit there for inspiration as often as I can!

Cliveden was a famous playground for the elite during the roaring twenties. One of its many, decadent gardens, features topiary peacocks. This peacock feather fascinator draws on the glamour, and natural beauty, of Cliveden, with its shimmering tones and colours (everything from blue through to gold, brown and black) and its rhinestone sparkles. I love to imagine I am a guest to Cliveden house in the 1920's attending a rather decadent party and wearing long gloves and my peacock feather fascinator.

The joy of this feather headpiece, is that it is very versatile, and works with many different eras of vintage dress. This is a feather hair clip you could wear as a wedding hair accessory with a 1960s style pencil dress, which would also work very well with your 1920's outfit for a new year's eve party, as a Gatsby hair accessory.

The feathers measure approximately 14cm x 13cm. The Alligator clip measures 4.5cm
