••• About HERMANN OAK LEATHER:

We pride ourselves on using only the best. Hermann Oak is the real deal. Full-grain leather processed in St. Louis, MO using US native steer hides, the leather is processed the old school slow way using sustainable eco & worker friendly methods that utilize tree bark tannins instead of chromium and other toxic chemicals. Approximately 90% of leather is imported, a large portion of which comes from China & India where the guidelines are nearly nonexistent. We are happy to say our products are start to finish made here in the United States.

LEATHER COLOR DYE:
For examples of color options, see color samples photo, or, see examples of finished items in each color throughout the shop. Note - Hermann Oak leather (especially if left natural) will develop over time a gorgeous patina, in other words, it just get better with regular use and passage of time. Patina is the hallmark of a high-quality full-grain leather product.

*Please note that each hide is unique and base/natural color may vary slightly from on hide to the next. I do my best to work around scars, scratch marks and bug bites etc, but some imperfections may be present on your final product, that is the nature of working with a natural medium. As such, with the small variations in hide color, each dye varies slightly during the dying processes. Leather ages just like anything so as time and wear ensue please note the coloring and look of the item will age as well. By purchasing from Windrose Custom Goods you acknowledge this statement.

STITCHING THREAD COLOR:
*only covers with sleeves have border stitching. Black thread is used on all colors unless otherwise requested. If you would like a custom thread color, please send me a message.
