Antique Stomacher, Front Panel for a Courtier, Dress, which was interchangeable, so to create may outfit variations.
Pale Green Silk ,with Gold Braid stitched across in a Diamond Design, the a pretty Green , Square Glass bead attached in each separate section.
Backed onto a Heavy Cotton Fabric.
A row of Hooks are stitched along one edge, for attaching to the rest of the dress, ( the other side has no fastenings, but coulfd be easily attached.)
Perfect for Re Enactments, Halloween Costume or for those with an interest in Historical Costume.
I have no provenance for the piece, so can only guess it was created as a Theatrical Costume piece, it cerainly has a lot of age to it, even so.
Works for 18th Century , Elizabethan/Tudor/Medieval Eras.

Could also be used to create a very cool Corset Style Top, for a Truely Unique Piece of Clothing.


Good Condition for its age, A Little discoloured, and frayed, but this adds to its authenticity.Certainly strong enough for wearing.
