The beautiful monarch caterpillar rendered as a large (19" in length) sculpture that is anatomically accurate yet very slightly stylized, making it equally perfect for a classroom demonstration or as a conversation piece in your home.
Made from paper mache clay with polymer clay details, it is formed over a sturdy armature of aluminum and wood. After carefully painting it with acrylic to match the monarch caterpillar's distinctive color pattern, it is given a gloss protective finish of acrylic varnish. It comes with a hanger attached underneath for hanging.
NOTE: The corner cat can be made so it crawls around a corner to its' RIGHT instead of to its' left. If you would like this variation just let me know.
The corner cat design is not meant to 'crawl' horizontally. It must be on a wall or bookcase looking around a corner. Hence the name Corner Cat!
This is NOT a toy, but it is durable enough to be held for teaching. I made my first caterpillar eight years ago, used it for at least 50 live programs, and it still is like new.
Suggested places: Nature Centers, schools, churches, children's rooms, or if you are a monarch enthusiast like me, anywhere in your home!
The caterpillar should be displayed indoors. It could be put in a covered porch, as long as it is out of the rain.

Absolutely stunning. Randy is clearly a master of his craft. Everything about this order exceeded my expectations. Including his communication over timing and delivery.
