Oma Anna Tomte with Stone Table and Fabric Stack plus Apron and Striped Mixing Bowl with Wooden Spoon FPP (foundational paper piecing) pattern is sized for a 6"x6" finished quilt block. This Grandma tomte has small-ish pieces in order to give her cute details. However, a few of the small pieces can be merged if you wish to (pieces that can be combined are noted in the PDF). Oma Anna comes with 2 (two) options of what to put on her table - a stack of fabric and a striped mixing bowl with wooden spoon (BOTH table topper options are included in the PDF download!!). Suggested bread loaf pattern hack also included. Oma also has an apron option. (Oma Anna by herself, without the stone table with table toppers will measure 3”x6” when finished.) The PDF includes Oma Anna pattern pieces facing both right and left so you can have versatility in your finished project.

Note: This block is part of my ‘Horizon Series’ and is compatible with any Horizon Series block that is also a 6”x6” or Horizon Series project that fits a 6”x6” block. The block can easily be resized to a larger size to accommodate more projects and add variety to whatever you wish to make (your printer and/or computer would need the capability to resize - most these days are able to. If you enlarge this block by 33.33% you will have an 8”x8” finished block - or each half will then measure 4”x8”.)

{Note: there are no 'Y seams' in any of the blocks}

🍄 This block is a great addition to any of my Tomte quilt blocks and is included in the Oma & Opa Tomte Bundle {B-2}. (All other tomten sold separate - there is a bundle of the first 3 original tomte with a house and tree scene block - {B-1}.) This quilt block is also a great stand alone block for any other projects you might have in mind. This quilt block would easily lend itself to many different finished projects like mug rugs, quilts, wall hangings, decorative pillows, and/or table runners!!! They can of course be made with a Christmas or Winter theme, but they also work well with a Valentine's, gnome theme or a summer fairytale theme!! I wonder what you'll come up with! Patterns and tips, plus instructions for assembling sections together are included in the PDF. Basic paper piecing instructions are NOT included. Experience with foundational paper piecing and standard sewing supplies and tools are needed to complete this quilt block. (A quick search online or YouTube will pull up a great selection of helpful tutorials if you're just getting started learning paper piecing!!). You will need a printer to print the patterns in the PDF in order to sew the blocks. A PDF reader is needed for this pattern. If you do not have one, Adobe Reader is available online, usually for free.
