This is by far the hardest product description I've ever had to write. You see, I am all too familiar with Alzheimer's disease and its effect on the person who has it and how it impacts the family and friends around them. My mom was diagnosed with Early Onset Alz in 2014 and had to move in with me in 2019, due to complications of having a couple of strokes and it progressing her alzheimer's.

It's heart breaking to see one of the people you love the most in the world, lose fragments of who they are. It brings on loneliness and grief that doesn't seem to end. It's generally a slow process and it's much harder on the caregivers - because we see our loved ones slowly disappear.

The elephant is a symbol used within the alzheimer's community, because an elephant never forgets. This elephant is holding a bouquet of forget-me-nots, which also symbolize the burden caregivers carry and the sheer amount of people that bear the burden of this disease. Red Poppies adorn her crown to honor the memories family and loved ones will always take with them, no matter how hard this struggle is.

This pin was created to honor the ones we love. Cherish the person they were before this disease had a hold and grasp on tight to the moments of happiness you experience now. There are millions of people that are affected and while you may feel utterly alone in this struggle, know that we are with you in spirit - supporting you through the hardest moments of your life. ♥

✉ Turn around times vary for each item. You can check the turn around time for the items you're interested in, by clicking on the Shipping & Policies tab. We try to ship out everything as quickly as possible, however it can take the full amount of time listed. If you need something by a specific date, please email us with the request. We'll do everything in our power to make it happen!

✉ All orders are sent via First Class with USPS- which generally takes around 5 business days for orders shipped within the USA, but may take longer, depending on the post office, weather etc. As much as we’d love to, we have no control over the Post Office. If there are any problems though, we’ll always do our best to fix the situation.

✉ International orders generally take around 15 business days for delivery - but can take longer. Customs may take some time to process orders; their turnaround is completely at their discretion. Past orders to international orders have taken around 2 weeks, but that can change depending on customs and things out of our control.
