• 16" x 11" x 11" Wood-framed, Screened Habitat
• Designed to accommodate an entire 8-inch potted plant that will feed and nurture caterpillars from egg until they are ready to pupate into their chrysalis stage.
• Hinged door enables easy swap-out of chewed-up plants for fresher ones.
• Screened sides and top allow for viewing from all angles.
• Wooden frame and screened top provides ideal surface for chrysalis to attach.
• Frame is made from natural pine that is rubbed down with either boiled linseed oil or tung oil for luster and sealing. Both are natural organic products that are not harmful to cage inhabitants.
• Standard screening is used on all products. However, upon request, this screening can be replaced with either a tighter, finer screen or a heavier pet-resistant product. (The tighter product provides better protection against potentially lethal parasites squeezing through the mesh, while the heavier product has a wider weave that may enable these parasites easier entry but keep pests such as lizards, snakes, frogs, etc away from the developing inhabitants.)
• Sturdy design is easily cleaned for long-lasting use.
• Enclosure is equally adaptable to other butterfly families, including swallowtails, brush-foots, and sulphurs.
• Live caterpillars not included.
