Too much packaging. Using the compostable foam flake generates a great volume of waste. Using cardboard wedges would be using less material.

The biodegradable packing peanuts we use are crucial to preventing damage during shipment. Cardboard wedges are too ridged. These peanuts are made of cornstarch, dissolve in water and are totally compostable. Fully assembled premium furniture pieces need packaging that cushions. We feel we've done our best to limit the use of items that are bound for the landfill (we use zero plastic and zero foam) while maintaining protection for shipping.
