What is the "Widmanstätten" Pattern? Formed on meteorites it represents the natural crystalline structure of the iron-nickel core, and also means no two cross-sections are identical.
What is special about Muonionalusta Meteorite? Discovered by boys playing football in Sweden in 1906, the meteorite landed on Earth around 800,000 years ago. The meteorite itself is estimated to be at least 2 billion years old.
How do we preserve this delicate meteorite? Made from predominantly iron all meteorites can be subject to oxidisation. To prevent this we have applied a specialized 3-micron white gold coating. This creates a protective barrier that preserves the 'Space Grey' lustre.
How to care for your meteorite jewellery: Avoid getting the meteorite jewellery wet and any lotions and perfumes must be applied before you put the jewellery on. Full care instructions are included in your purchase
