Inspired by a beautiful portrait of a young woman I saw in Rookie Mag, this painting was featured as part of a print set available to patrons of Hazel Issue IV: Ritual, a part of a series of Witches' Lifestyle Zines. Our Hazel is our reader, and while she has many faces, she is always curious, imaginative, compassionate, and creative. This version of Hazel resides in late summer and the beginning of fall, the time of seasonal change, and excitement for what's to come. Her magic is within her and reflected all around her in the natural world.

This autumn-tinged art print is 5" x 7" on a textured medium-heavy stock paper. I love working with Cat Print for my printing because of their excellent quality and attention to detail.

It was painted with St. Petersburg watercolors on Arches watercolor paper in my Raleigh, North Carolina studio.
