DETAILS: This is a classic vintage Mary Maxim sweater, made in Canada in the 1960s. This sweater is made of thick off-white wool, and features a set of prancing horses on the front and back, pockets, and a double oversized zipper. Unisex, and no size label, but we estimate it is a medium mens size, or large ladies Size. It is 32" long, 18" across at the shoulders, 18" across at the bust, and arms are 28" long.

TRASHTIQUE TALK: Mary Maxim's roots can be traced back to Sifton, Manitoba, Canada, where Willard and Olive McPhedrain purchased Spinwell Manufacturing Co, and changed the name of their operation to Mary Maxim, after a store employee: Mary Maximchuk. The bulky knit sweaters featuring North American wildlife became very popular by the 1950s.

CONDITION: Trashtiques gives this sweater an 8.5/10. Lovely condition - coming from a non-smoking, no-pet home. Some errant threads, but no holes or damage. This sweater was well taken care of for the last 65 years.
