Pearls are organic, water or high temperature make them expand and come loose.Especially from rings, since they are often getting hit, bumped, knocked around. So many people look down at their hands and see that their pearl has fallen out, spins in the mounting, or is just plain missing.
Here are some ways to take care of pearl rings:
1,Do not submerge your pearls in water - no showers, no dishes, no swimming. The chlorine in the water will eat away at the epoxy securing the pearls to their mountings.
2,Do not wear pearl rings when you are in high temperature environment,do not wear it when blowing your hair with a hair dryer.
3,Check your pearls often to make sure they’re tight and don’t twist.
4,When you clean your pearl, gently take a moist, (not wet) paper towel to dab it. Let the ring dry overnight.

Before and After basic at-home cleaning (BE SURE TO DO ALL OF THIS OVER A LARGE BOWL AND NOT OVER THE SINK IN CASE A STONE DOES FALL OUT IF HANDLED ROUGHLY)

Soak in plain warm water (hot tub warm) for a couple of minutes.
Gently brush with soft bristle brush (kids toothbrush works great) a mixture of foamy dish soap and water all around the gem (especially under the stone) for a good 2 to 5 minutes to remove all buildup. You should notice the stone becoming cleaner.
Rinse with water.
Shake off excess water.
Blow dry.
Remember: annual professional maintenance is highly recommended on all fine jewelry as well as attentive care and extra love so it can be kept for generations.
