Highlights
This sweet Chinese Tea Set was purchased as a souvenir on a trip to China in the 1990's. That is all the history I know about it and have no way of reading the maker from the stamp on the bottom or the foil sticker on the top. Any help would be appreciated.
The teapot is small in size - the square body is 3 1/2" on each side and 3 1/2" tall including the lid. Including the spout it is about 5 1/2" wide and 6" tall including the brass handle. The little cups are 2 5/8" tall and 1 1/2" across the top. I'm not sure this set was intended to be actually used as opposed to just being displayed. The gold, rust and blue pattern is very, very pretty and in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing on the teapot. Three of the cups are perfect, but there is a very small chip on the top edge of one of the cups (please look at the photo). It barely shows from the outside of the cup so would display fine.
