This is a custom printed circuit board I made that allows you to use the popular 27C322 EPROMs to refurbish your old SNES games, or put your own homebrew games on original hardware. The 27C322 is a 42-pin device, but the SNES EPROM socket is only 36 pins large. This board is similar to the small adapter boards I offer, but unlike the smaller adapter boards, you do NOT need any 18-pin headers to use this board, and you don't need to remove the existing EPROM! Just clip the /OE pin on the original ROM and bridge the pin to VCC.
Due to manufacturer part shortages, I am now offering these with through-hole sockets for parts instead of them coming pre-assembled. I will try to restock them with the parts assembled when I can, but this is the best I can offer for now.

The parts you will need are:
1x 27C322 EPROM
2x 74HC257 Multiplexers
3x 100nF ceramic capacitors
1x 74HC32 OR Gate
(It's best practice to include the 74'32, but you might be able to make the game without it. In that case, solder bridge the pads within the footprint area of the 74'32. DO NOT BRIDGE THE PADS IF YOU ARE USING THE 74'32 CHIP.)

Installation should start with soldering the board to the back of the cart PCB, then adding the parts on top. Ceramic capacitors can be added on the backside of the board, just trim the legs and solder them in the holes. On older revisions, the 74'32 in particular might not fit all the way flush against the adapter board - interference with the cartridge PCB can make it sit on top of the board above the battery area, but the pins should still reach into the holes to solder it in.

Please note this is only recommended for boards that have ONE 36-pin ROM socket. If you are going to use them on boards with a 32-pin ROM socket, make sure the ROM you are installing is only a maximum of 8 MBit large for compatibility.

When put into the board properly, it fits nicely inside the cartridge. Note that it will not fit inside the cartridge with every existing SNES boards, but it will for most. There must be at least approximately 2 centimeters clearance to the top of the cartridge. It's a good idea to first solder in one or two pins on the adapter board to the back of the cartridge PCB, and do a fit test inside an actual cart. You might have to clip some plastic tabs inside the cart as well. In general, if your board only has one ROM and one (or no) SRAM chip, it should fit ok.

Also note that this will not work with boards that use more than one ROM chip, without some heavy rewiring, even if the board fits ok.

PLEASE CHECK if your adapter will fit before you solder anything! I have not personally encountered any problems but I do not have every type of board to test. If you are having problems, send me pictures, the board number, and we'll figure it out!

Notes:
You may need to trim back "mousebites" on the PCB to fit the EPROM in the socket (see picture).
Trim the backside pins on any chip that interferes with the board to ensure the adapter board is close to the donor. Try fitting it in the cartridge before soldering to be sure.

Please, check out my website listed above for extremely detailed instructions on how to construct a game of your own, and if you have any questions, contact me!
Message or email me for larger quantity inquiries. If you need more stock, please contact me - I might have some extra that's not reflected here.

Finally a good way to make 32mbit games without having to stack m27c801 eproms or use enough wire to fully replace half of New Yorks power grid. These adapters will be my go to way to make myself reproduction carts from here on out!
