These stoneware mugs are handmade on a potter's wheel with a dark brown, almost black, clay and is available with or without a handle attached. The mug is glazed black with a mixture of greens, blues and glossy black glaze halfway up the mug in the shape of the treeline. The effect is an Aurora Borealis or Northern lights look above the trees.

The glazes interact in the kiln at temperatures over 2000 degrees creating a unique glaze pattern on each one. Due to the handmade nature of these mugs, please allow for slight variation in each mug shape and glaze variation. Each mug is unique and no two mugs are identical! The glaze looks the most vibrant green and blue above the trees in direct sunlight, and will look darker in the shade, as seen in the photos.

These mugs are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
