Remember all the great big, bold earrings we all used to wear? I have started taking apart my old earrings and using them in my jewelry! This was a glass rectangle earring with a tiger eye cabachon and a natural feather. It is now encased in a free form Peyote stitched pendant surrounded by an array of hand selected complimentary beads.
This piece was created entirely by hand ~ one bead at a time ~ in a smoke-free environment. Beaded art can be very durable as evidenced by highly-valued vintage beadwork available in antique stores and museums. All jewelry is made with Fireline for durability. Care of your beadwoven piece is simple; if you don’t have a box to keep it in; slide it into a baggie to keep it from tangling with other jewelry in your drawer. That will also protect it against dust over time. Your beaded item will be shipped to you in an organza bag inside a gift box. With reasonable care, your art can last you a lifetime.
