Old oil on canvas of the 19th century. It represents a romantic landscape, idealized, typical of the symbolsm of the late nineteenth century. Below the signature indicates the date, 90 (1890). Perfect state of conservation. Cleaning and small repair of volumetric and chromatic lagoon.

By its style, it is a symbolist painting with impressionist touches.
The Catalan symbolism of the late nineteenth century was starred by great artists such as Santiago Rusiñol, Isidre Nonell, Adrià Gual, Sebastià Junyent. At the beginning of the 20th century they coincided with the young Pablo Picasso in the cafe "Els Quatre Gats". Possibly this was one of the many painters who agreed in this intellectual environment. By his last name, perhaps he was a relative of the sculptor Josep Viladomat. The year 1890, indicated below the signature (90), was the beginning of the symbolist movement in Catalonia. In France I had been 10 years older. A rigorous study on the author would be missing. However, the landscape is of amazing quality and is clearly related to avant-garde art.
